Margaret Neethling initially joined Self Defence workshops cc in 2000 as Office Manager.
Her interest in the empowerment of women, especially young girls, has led to more than 12 years of in-house self defence training. As an experienced instructor she has been co-ordinating the Shoprite-sponsored self defence training programme that has been running in primarily disadvantaged schools in the immediate Cape Environment since 2003.
Since it's inception Smitti and Margaret have taught more than 100 000 female primary and secondary learners the practical skills of self protection.
